Our Story
Since 2016, Grace Solutions has been a beacon of hope and compassion, dedicated to supporting unhoused individuals and low-income families. Partnering with Grace Baptist Church—a cornerstone of support in downtown San Jose for over a century—we strive to deliver essential services with unwavering dignity and respect. A nonprofit 501(c)3 public benefit corporation, we are dedicated to providing emergency services to the marginalized residents in our neighborhoods.
Building a Community Where All Belong
Grace Solutions was founded on the belief that we must actively contribute to addressing critical needs. In 2016, we were the first in San Jose to open an emergency shelter in response to the displacement of hundreds of unsheltered residents from the Coyote Creek Meadows encampment. This initiative inspired numerous faith-based and community organizations to follow suit, establishing shelters, drop-in centers, and safe car parks.

Today, our mission has expanded beyond emergency shelter to include providing food, hygiene products, and essential supplies. More importantly, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of community and belonging for all individuals. We aim to make a significant impact on the ongoing houseless crisis by empowering our neighbors to pursue stability, safety, and self-sufficiency.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Grace Solutions is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by law in any of our activities, programs, or operations.

We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has equal access to our services, and we strive to treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and compassion.
Our Vision
With additional funding and community support, Grace Solutions hopes to:
-
Sustain our housing and human rights advocacy working group, which is made up of individuals who are currently or have previously experienced homelessness.
-
Expand staff development program, including training for staff on trauma care, CPR, de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and administering Narcon to counter fentynal overdose.
